About us

Our Story

Our story began in Uganda, where August and I met while volunteering. What started as long conversations, shared experiences, and a few cold beers quickly turned into a genuine friendship. We realized how well our perspectives complemented each other: I brought my background in economics from my banking education and business studies, while August contributed deep local knowledge, having grown up in Uganda and spent years exploring its landscapes and cultures. Together with a small group of like-minded people, this shared vision grew into what is now AVS.
